Almost everything on this site is built by working with AI, mostly Claude.
The starting point is always mine. The ideas, the direction, the framing and the positioning begin with me. From there I work with AI to turn rough intent into a considered draft. We go back and forth, interview-style, each challenging the other until we reach a position that holds. Then I do the final edit, so what you read is mine to stand behind.
The results are better than either of us could have produced alone. That's the part I find most satisfying, an always available, no matter the hour, collaborative partner challenging my thinking, enabling me to explore and iterate, and keeping me focused on actually getting somewhere with it.
Without AI, most, if not all, of this would never have got past the idea stage. I'm glad to have made this much progress, and I'm looking forward to making more, now that I've got the tools to do it, even though I still don't really have the time!
There's also a larger hope underneath this. My hope is that my experience prefigures the role AI will play in society at large, as an enabler for solving problems and ultimately leading to a better world for everyone, not just a few.
